Framework
High quality, British grown, douglas fir softwood. 150mm x 150mm Posts, tie beams and wall plates. Traditional mortice and tenon connections complete with attractive 150mm x 75mm curved effect diagonal braces. All frame work is planed to offer a smoother finish. Vertical posts and diagonal braces are also chamfered along their edges.
Wall Construction
Garage walls and partition wall are constructed with 95mm x 45mm Easi-edgeTM grade C16, low pressure treated studwork Spaced at a maximum of 600mm centres.
Wall Cladding
Carefully selected, high quality, British grown softwood ex 150mm x 22mm shiplap profile as standard. Weatherboard or Tongue and groove profiles are also available as options. All boarding is fitted with rust resisting nails. Partition wall is clad on one side as standard.
Internal Lining
Not supplied as standard. Available options are 150mm x 22mm softwood sarking, 9mm FSC Plywood, shiplap or tongue and groove (to match the exterior wall cladding) Various breather membranes or insulations are available on request. Lining can be supplied for the ceiling as well as the walls if required.
Roof Construction
145mm x 45mm Easi-edgeTM grade C16 rafters and ceiling ties at a maximum of 450mm centres. 195m x 45mm Ridge beam and 175mm x 22mm planed front and back fascia strips.
Roof Covering
400mm x 250mm (16” X 10”) Spanish Slates, dark grey (un-punched) complete with pressure treated softwood battens and counter battens, 150mm x 22mm pressure treated sarking boards and roofshield breather membrane. Other specific materials can be supplied should they be required.
Height
Standard 2450mm to Eaves and 3900mm to ridge either when constructed directly on slab foundation on or a single course of brickwork.
Windows
Not supplied as standard. An extensive range of single or double glazed single or double casement types are available.
Doors
Not supplied as standard, double doors are available on request.
Guttering
Black 100mm (4”) half round guttering and down pipes are included for both sides of the building, other colours can be supplied if requested.
Timber Treatment
Buildings are supplied untreated as standard. Various types of coating, staining or preservative treatment are available on request.
